Undead Doppelsöldner

A new tutorial is out!

I had fun imagining an undead Landsknecht, a type of mercenary from the 16th century. Skilled ones were paid double, hence their name “Doppelsöldner”, “double-pay men”.

This bad boy being undead, I thought it would be fun to place his “double pay” on his eyes, as a wink to the ancient custom of putting coins on the eyes of the dead to ensure Charon got paid for ferrying their soul across the River Styx.

It was really fun to paint, and I hope you get the most of this tutorial!

Have a great day,

Arthur
